Sandbass are spawning, catfish are good on worms, minnows, shrimp & shad. According to the news around the lake many individuals are going out and catching their limits on sandbass and crappie. The attached photo is one of the large crappie a friend of mine brought home on a recent fishing trip to Lake Aquilla. So if your in the fishing mood, Lake Whitney just might be a great place to catch and bring home so good fish.
